Celebrating Diversity“Choosing to do the MAOL instead of a surgical residency was a bizarre decision according to most people, but it is one of the best (and hardest) decisions I made. This program has helped me develop so much, not just as a leader, but as a person. Through courses like Leadership, Conflict Resolution, and Ethics, I learned to look at the people I lead through God’s eyes and not through my own. I have learned to appreciate that we are all different and be cool with that. I have learned that being a perfectionist is no way to be an effective leader. I have learned to celebrate diversity and see the beauty in imperfection.”
